Capercaillie are a Scottish folk and celtic music outfit hailing from Oban. Formed in 1984 by frontwoman Karen Matheson and accordion/keyboard-player Donald Shaw, it also currently consists of Charlie McKerron (fiddle), Michael McGoldrick (flute/whistles/uillean pipes), Manus Lunny (guitar and bouzouki), Ewen Vernal (bass), and David Robertson (percussion).
